In the Cold Tender Space Between Us

Our dreams lie stranded in the shadows

We never know what we’ll do
with the space in between
that’s not always warm

with so much of our going out
fixing our many problems
that space has gone cold
and a wee bit awkward
sometimes not all the time

it has lost some warmth
and the exciting anticipations
if you dismiss the pun
what you’ve is dust and ashes
and (you guessed…
